Advent is coming up quickly! Beginning the First Sunday in Advent (December 2nd), we will have Vespers every Sunday night during Advent in the church at 6:00 pm. Come and join in this beautiful prayer! Vespers will run about 30 minutes.


Christmas Children’s Choir
Tuesdays, 3:15pm-4:15pm
The Children’s Choir will sing on Christmas Eve at the 5pm Mass. If your child wishes to sing in the choir, contact Flora Lester.

Hand Bell Choir Starting!
Tuesdays, 5:30pm-6:30pm, beginning December
Join the *new* hand bell choir as it prepares for Christmas and the New Year! Beginning in December, rehearsals will be held in the choir loft. Contact Linda Mundy White at 704- 224-4716.

Annual Fundraiser

Sacred Heart Catholic Church and School are doing something different this year for our annual fundraiser. We are selling discount cards for $20.00 to be used at different establishments in the Salisbury area.

Some of the places where you can use these cards are: Burger King, Dairy Queen, Buffalo Wild Wings, Taco Bell, Waffle House, Jersey Mikes, Il Colosseo, El Patron, O’Charley’s, Spankys, Sports Clips and many more places.

We will be selling discount cards after all of the Masses and they are available in the church office. Please support the church and school in this endeavor.

Rosary CD

Sacred Heart Parish children & Fr. Eckert recorded a CD of the Rosary this summer during Totus Tuus. If you would like a CD, contact the church office. Suggested donation is $15, with proceeds going to the Carolina Catholic Radio Network.

Sacred Heart Helping Hands (a community outreach)
Are you interested in giving of your time to help serve a meal to someone who is less fortunate? 

Join in the fellowship with other Sacred Heart parishoners each month, on the third Friday evening and Saturday morning, as our parish family serves dinner and breakfast at Rowan Helping Ministries. 

All help is very much appreciated.   If you are interested, please contact Vickie Kotlarz at 704-647-2080 or at for details.
Meals on Wheels deliveries
Volunteers are needed.  Sacred Heart has been helping MOW to deliver food to those unable to leave home. The volunteer services are every second and fourth Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  If you are interested in servicing this ministry, please call Elia Gegorek at (704) 202- 1209.  Thank You!

Faith Formation

Registration is taken the months of July/August. Please stop by the church office for registration forms.

Faith Formation starts in September and goes through May and meets Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the school building.
