January is BEE month at Sacred Heart

Two students from each class (3rd - 8th grade) were chosen to compete in the Annual SHCS School Bee. On Friday, January 20th, twelve students competed to see who would advance to the Regional Bee. Our classroom winners were:

3rd: Logan Bryant; Elly Dishman
4th: Mary Kathryn Aycock; Emma Brown
5th: Ellie Cardelle; Mary Grace Cardelle
6th: Hannah Carr; Kyna Zaldivar
7th: Ben Childress; Finley Church
8th: John Coello; Colleen Heuser

They went 26 rounds to find a winner. These students spelled words like scrumptiously, burglarious, thaumaturge, catastrophic, pilgrimages, concussion, settee, legitimately and perpetrator. We are proud to announce our top three winners:

1st place - Mary Grace Cardelle - 5th grade

2nd place - Kyna Zaldivar - 6th grade

3rd place - Ellie Cardelle - 5th grade

These students will compete at the Regional Bee at Salisbury Academy on February 7, 2017.
