MLK Peace Parade

"Let no man pull you LOW enough to hate him." MLK, Jr.

Our 2nd grade students hosted a MLK Peace Parade this week. Mrs. Hurysz, their homeroom teacher, emphasized the life and teachings of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his famous “I Have A Dream” speech. They were asked to close their eyes and think of what their dream would be for all of the people in the world. Then, they were given posters to show their messages. Mrs. Hurysz made a point to show that his protests were not violent; they did not destroy property, hurt people, or encourage hate.
